Mike Case was named President and CEO of Gulf States Paper Corporation (later renamed The Westervelt Company) in 2000. The Westervelt Company, founded in 1884, is a privately held land and land management company, owning approximately 500,000 acres in the Southeastern United States and 40,000 acres in New Zealand. Prior to being named President, Mike served as Executive Vice President for Pulp and Paperboard (1996), Vice President of Strategic Planning (1994) and Vice President Sales, Pulp and Paperboard (1993).

Mike serves on the Board of the American Forest and Paper Association, United Way of West Alabama, The University of Alabama’s Business School and The President’s Cabinet of the University of Alabama.

Mike received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in marketing from the University of Alabama.
