Briefing on the Carbon Benefits of Biomass Energy

On April 7th, NAFO hosted an educational briefing on renewable forest biomass and its carbon benefits with its partners, the American Forest and Paper Association, the American Forest Foundation, and the Society of American Foresters.

Reid Miner, Vice President of Sustainable Manufacturing, and Al Lucier, Senior Vice President, from NCASI presented on the science and practical contexts of biomass carbon emissions. Roger Martella, Partner at Sidley Austin, provided an update about the implications of biomass carbon neutrality in federal rulemakings.
