NAFO was invited to participate in a study by the National Research Council of the National Academies to examine current and projected biofuel production, use and impacts, with a focus on the Renewable Fuel Standard.  NAFO submitted written comments addressing the role of renewable forest biomass, its benefits and sustainability, and the barriers that exist in current law and policy to forest biomass fully contributing. Dave Tenny will be testifying at the public hearing on May 3, 2010.
