U.S. Employers Support Renewable Forest Biomass

Private forest landowners, who nationally support 2.5 million jobs, sent letters to their Senators reiterating the importance of private, working forests to the environment and the economy.  They underscore that viable markets for forest products conserve forests and the public benefits they provide, and urge Senators to support a sustainable new market – energy from renewable forest biomass.  Letters were sent to:

Arkansas: Senators Lincoln and Pryor

Georgia: Senators Chambliss and Isakson

Florida: Senators Nelson and LiMieux

Michigan: Senators Levin and Stabenow

Minnesota: Senators Klobuchar and Franken

New Hampshire: Senators Gregg and Shaheen

Oregon: Senators Wyden and Merkley

South Carolina: Senators Graham and DeMint

Texas: Senators Hutchison and Cornyn

Virginia: Senators Webb and Warner

Washington: Murray and Cantwell
