PARTNERS IN MITIGATING CLIMATE CHANGE

Maximizing forests and forest products
as a natural climate solution

Forests and forest products already offset 15% of total U.S. industrial carbon emissions each year.  With approximately 360 million acres – or 70% – of the working forests in the U.S. on private land, the powerful sequestration engine and carbon sink carbon sink provided by working forests hold enormous opportunity to mitigate climate change at scale.  NAFO works closely with several partners who are aligned on the role of private working forests as a natural climate solution.
